The morning after Patroclus' funeral, I couldn't help myself in my mourning. However, my mother, Thetis, came to me with a gift, and brand new suit of armor. It was amazingly beautiful, I couldn't help but be in aw of it. My mother promised that she would look over Patroclus, and in doing so, I put on my new armor, got my father's spear, and marched out with the men, but I had to do one thing first. I realized that this feud between me and Agamemnon was going on for far too long, and I decided to end it. I went to Agamemnon and told him that my rage toward him has ended and that the whole fight was foolish. Agamemnon surprisingly agreed and stated that it was Zeus fault for the way he acted. In good faith Agamemnon still offered me all the gifts he initially offered me and I accepted. In return Agamemnon swore he never touched my girl Briseis. Now she is all for me. I couldn't wait to return to the battle, mostly to kill HECTOR, but Odysseus suggested that both Agamemnon and myself should feast together. We both agreed and we prepared and oath and a sacrifice. During the feast, Athena gave me a little extra strength, like I really need it.After the feast we buried our dead. After all was said and done, we all prepared for battle and marched out. From this point I new my fate was sealed. As soon as we were all lined up for battle, Zeus addressed the other Gods and said that they can now fight on whatever side that they want to since I am now back in the fight. We Greeks, got Hera, Poseidon Athena, and Hermes, whiles the Trojans got Ares, Apollo, Artemis, Leto, Xanthus, and Aphrodite. Really Aphrodite. You think you would learn your lesson by now. I was the one to begin the battle. I charged everywhere in my search for Hector. These Trojans were no match for me. Aeneas was too afraid to fight me, but Apollo encouraged him to fight me. What a fool. We both soon engage in combat, however it ends when Poseidon rescues Aeneas. Apparently he told Aeneas to cease his attack until I'm dead. Well I'm seeking death so it should be too long. At one point I came across the brother of Hector, Polydorus. He met his end rather quickly. This however end Hector's retreating and was now going to finally engage me in combat, But no!! Stupid Apollo had to intervene and take Hector away. This little setback wasn't going to stop me in finding Hector. I killed countless Trojans when i got the the River Xanthus. I've killed so many men that I have lost count. At one point, a Trojan by the name of Lycaon, grabbed a hold of me and asked me to spare him since he was only a half brother to Hector. My answer was simple, umm no. I don't give in that easily. Apparently this made the river God Xanthus angry, and he got Asteropaeous to attack me. He put out a good fight but it didn't matter he died anyways. Xanthus demanded that I stop killing in the river, and I was like fine. But that didn't stop me. I overheard him talking to Apollo and I charged toward Xanthus. And guess what happens, he starts throwing bodies at me. Really?? Who throws bodies?? That clearly didn't stop me but that stupid wave did. I was pretty lucky to grab a hold of a branch in time. I prayed to Zeus and he got Poseidon to give me extra courage to keep fighting. Also, Hera got Hephaestus to push back the river with his fire. After the incident in the river, the Gods soon resumed their battles. Ares and Athena clash. Ares got wounded, no surprise and Aphrodite helped him away from the battle, and then Athena charge the goddess of love. However some of the Gods didn't fight. Leto and Hermes didn't, and surprising Apollo didn't. He was running away. Apollo returned to Troy and insisted that Priam open the gates so that the rest of the Trojans can escape me. The only Trojan to stand their ground was Agenor. He almost hit my shin, but was unable to penetrate my armor. Soon Apollo yet again interferes and takes Agenor away to the river Xanthus. I swear I'm gonna get that Apollo.
I thought that my reconciliation with Agamemnon went rather well. I mean we exchanged peace offerings, that is a good step in the right direction. I knew right when I decided to re-enter the battle that my fate was now set in stone and that my death would be coming soon. And you know what that is fine with me, because then I can be with my beloved Patroclus. In fact, fate seemed to be a major theme throughout these books. Even Agamemnon stated that the fate from Zeus cause his stubbornness. He acknowledged that his madness was driven into him by force. No matter what happens now, fate will bring me to Hector, and he will surely die, and then hopefully soon, I will die afterwards, but the question remains, who will bring me to my death and how?

My Dear Patroclus
As the battle raged on not too far away in the camps, Patroclus came to me in my tent begging for my return to the fight. He insisted that if I did not rejoin the fight, then he would wear my armor in my place. I still couldn't fight because of that oaf Agamemnon disgracing me. I hesitantly agreed to Patroclus wearing my armor and fighting in my stead. However I told him to only drive the Trojans out of our camp, and to not pursue them. In fact if he did fight in my place he would be giving me more time by fighting as me. I can only hope that he does return safely and that Zeus misinterpreted Patroclus's fate, or I swear their will be hell to pay. As soon as Patroclus entered the battle as me, the tide rapidly turned in the Greeks favor. Patroclus and my Myrmidons were killing countless Trojans. The battle soon looked by a joke with all of the Trojans retreating, even the mighty Hector was seen fleeing from the battle field. Among the countless men that Patroclus killed was Sarpedon, the son of Zeus, and because of this act, Patroclus's fate was sealed. Patroclus ended up saving the camp from the Trojans, but he decided to disobey my order and pursue the Trojans all the way to the gates of Troy. Soon Patroclus came across Hector, and also the Crafty Apollo. At one point point Patroclus kills Hector's driver Cebriones, and then Apollo comes from behind and smacks patroclus......sniff sniff, then a Trojan named Euphorbus wounds Patroclus, and then HECTOR finally killed my beloved Patrolcus. :'( However Patroclus did acknowledge Hector's own death was to come soon, by my hands. After my dear friends death, Menelaus went to guard his body, Euphorbus tried to take the body away but Meneaud didn't allow it and killed him. The fool. Menelaus tries to strip Patroclus of my armor, but Hector had other plans and somehow took my armor!!!!! Soon the mighty Ajax came to Menelaus and both charged at Hector. Because of this Hector flees yet again. What a wuss. Glaucus then begins to insult Hector for his retreating, and then Hector calls on the Trojan lines to march on toward Patroclus' body, except this time, he was wearing my armor >:(. The battle for Patroclus' body rages on for quite some time until Zeus sends my horse and Automedon to pick up Patroclus' body and return it to my camp. He soon rushes towards my camp with both Hector and Aeneas in pursuit. Soon Zeus interferes again. This times pushing the Greeks back. Soon Idomeneus wounds Hector and yet again, that fool of a prince retreats. Soon, Ajax sends Antilochus to my tent to inform me of the bad news. :"( Soon, Antilochus came to my tent, and gave me the bad news. I had nothing left to live for, all I wanted was to die and to be with Patroclus. My mother tried to comfort me, but it didn't work that well. She did however say that my death would come soon after Hectors. Apparently, my mother was going to let me rush to my death, but first she had to get me new weapons. While all of this was happening the Trojans were attacking the Greeks. Three times they attacked, and three times they were repelled. I was soon told by Iris to go out to the lines and inspire the troops. I shouted three times and cause those pathetic Trojans to fall back all the way to their city walls. As night fell, I began to clean Patroclus's body and all night the funeral dirge was raised. Meanwhile, during all of this, My mother visited Hephaestus, and he ended up making me a brand new set of armor. I'm rather curious to see it, but I can't think about that while still mourning for Patroclus. :(
This was without a doubt, the hardest moment for me in any of these books, if I knew well ahead of time, I wouldn't have let Patroclus fight and he would still be alive. I guess in some way this is rather ironic. I begged Zeus to punish the Greeks by helping the Trojans, and in the end my beloved friend is now dead. If anything were to bring me back into the fight it is definitely going to be this. Another aspect I couldn't help but notice was the fact that Hector is constantly retreating. What's up with that? He is suppose to be the best fighter of the Trojans and he is retreating. To me he seems to be resembling Paris. And that oaf can't even say that he alone killed my beloved companion. Both Apollo and a no body attacked him before he could get the finishing blow onto him. While looking back, it dawned on me that Book 18 was the first time night has fallen in a long time in our story. It's crazy how time slows down. However this did give me time to think about returning to the battle. I NEED to get my revenge on HECTOR. I could see full well that my return, definitely rallied my fellow Greeks into fighting. I mean do they expect me to do all the killing my self. Lets be real here. How can I end this with out mentioning my new armor that my mommy got me from Hephaestus. The shield was so amazing with all of the pictures displayed on it. I'd like to see any Trojan try and defeat me with this glorious armor of mine.

A Time Of Peril
As time went on, the Achaean fortifications looked doomed to fall. Hector and his fellow men dismounted off of their chariots, and charged the fortifications. However, when the Trojans were beginning to cross the trenches, an eagle dropped a serpeant by the left-hand side of the Trojan line. Trojan commander Polydamus saw this as a bad sign in that the charge will fail. However, Hector, being ignorant, refused to retreat. What a fool to ignore a sign from the Gods. Following this. Glaucus, and Sarpedon charged the ramparts. My comrades struggled to hold them off. I could've done it by myself, but no. Soon the Trojans broke through the fortifications, and my fellow Greeks rand back toward the ships. While all of this was going on. Zeus was watching from Olympus, very pleased with what was transpiring in the war. He was so pleased, that he decided to take a break from the battle. Sick of being held back, Poseidon visited both Ajax's as Calchus and gave them new vigor along with the rest of the Achaeans to fight the Trojan assault. However, this didn't stop Hector from retreating just yet. He continued his assault and even managed to injure Poseidon's son Amphimachus. As an act of revenge, Poseidon blessed Idomeneus with enraging powers. With his new powers, Idomeneus charges the Trojans on the left, killing countless men, including injuring Deiphobus. Meanwhile with Hector, his men began to lose their vigor. Some retreated, some stayed. By Polydamus's advice, Hector regroups his forces, fetches Paris of all people, and assists on the left flank. Meanwhile, with the both Ajax's, and eagle appears to their right, which was a good omen for the Achaeans. Meanwhile back in the Greek camp, Agamemnon proposes to leave again. WUSS. Both Odysseus and Diomedes disagree with this, with insults to Agamemnon, and rallying of the troops. Meanwhile, Poseidon goes to Agamemnon to renew his vigor. At this moment, Hera was sick of not helping the Greeks, so her and Aphrodite devise to plan to take Zeus out of the way for a time, and to make a long story short. Zeus falls asleep and Hera had free reign to assist the Greek forces. Hera commands Poseidon to lead the Greeks to victory, and a lot of Trojans die, and many more retreat back to the city, including the mighty Hector. As the Achaeans were gaining the upper hand against the Trojans, Zeus finally woke up from his slumbering sleep to witness what Hera and Poseidon have wreaked upon the war. Of course being the Goddess that she is, Hera attempted to blame everything on Poseidon. However, Zeus made it perfectly clear that he had no interest what so ever in the Trojans being victorious. He was only doing what my mommy asked him to do. He instigates that Troy is still fated to fall, and that Hector will die, but only after he kills Patroclus....wait.....WHAT!!!!!!! YOU BETTER BE LYING MIGHTY ZEUS OR I WILL WREAK HAVOC ON YOU!! Grrr. Where was I. Oh yeah, apparently Hera summons both Iris and Apollo. Iris tells Poseidon to leave the battle, and Apollo gives Hector renewed vigor to fight the Acaheans. Apollo then joins the battle, and the Acaheans begin to fall back. The Achaeans fall back soo much that the Trojans get very close to the Greek camps and can almost touch the ships. I sure hope no harm ever come to Patroclus, or I swear to Hades that NO ONE with be able to stop my wraith.
When looking back at what has transpired through the course of our story, I still cannot believe that the Gods treat us like mere pawns. What happens in our world can be predetermined by the feuds in the realm of the Gods. Take for instance, what both Hera and Aphrodite did to Zeus. Since they decided to interfere with Zeus and his aid that he was giving to the Trojans, the Greeks were able to get the upper hand for a portion of the battle. From what I could see in the battle that was occurring, it seemed a lot more organized rather than chaotic. Attacks were actually thought of, and more planning went into the attacks. Why can't all battles be like this. We soon come to realize that the end is near for the Trojans. As some as a civilization like Troy, and even Hector, reach their peak of their might and power, it soon comes to a drastic decline and then all is lost. What Zeus said marked the end for the Trojans in that they will soon fall. Like I said before, Patroclus better not be harmed in the coming battle. He is one of the very few reason why I continue to fight. I don't know where I would be without him.

The Begging For My Help
As I sat by my campsite, I could see all of the troops were brokenhearted. Even that foul stenched King was finally admitting this war was a failure and proposing to head home. With his tail between his legs if I do say so. However Diomedes insisted that they stay and fight. Nestor was the first to suggest a reconciliation with me. Surprisingly, Agamemnon agreed to this and offered me plentyful gifts, including Briseis on my return to the lines. But that King doesn't do it himself, he got Odysseus, Ajax, and Phoenix to reconcile on his behalf. These great men were just wasting there time, there was no way I was going to accept. The only way I would, is if he did it himself, and apologized for disrespecting my honr.. Only then would I consider returning to the lines. But that didn't matter, me and my men are returning to Phthia. Coming here was a mistake and I would rather live a long life, over a short and glorious one. I even offered to bring Phoenix with me, but he still tried to get me to stay by reminding me of the story of Meleager, who was coincidentally kind of like me. However, that still didn't convince me, so Agamemnon's embassy had to return in failure. Later that night, Agamemnon and Menelaus, woke up the others, and planned the next move. With Nestor's clever thinking, both Odysseus and Diomedes were to infiltrate and spy on the Trojan ranks. Coincidentally, the Trojans planned the same thing, and Hector picked Dolon to do the infiltration. From what I heard, Dolon was going to offer Hector MY chariot and horses once the men fell. How dare that little freak tempt to try and steal from me. He wouldn't have gone more than a hundred meters before I struck him down. Fortunately Dolon was captured my Odysseus and Diomedes, so that never happened. They interrogated Dolon, and he told them of the Trojan positions along with their allies, including the Thracian weaklings. When they were done Diomedes killed Dolon. Afterwards, the two spies, rushed toward the Thracian camp, killed a few men, along with their king Rhesus. Odysseus and Diomedes end up stealing Rhesus's chariot and horses, and end up riding back to the Greek camp. Unfortunately, the Achaean victory was very short lived. The next morning Zeus caused panic throughout the Achaean lines, fortunately the massacre that occurred was short lived because the Achaeans picked up some ground. Even Agamemnon was surprisingly able to kill some Trojans and even fought them back to the city gate. But like the foolish king he is, he eventually got wounded, which was foretold to Hector by the Goddess Iris. At this moment, the Trojans fought the Greeks back. Luckily, if it wasn't for Odysseus and Diomedes, the Greeks would've retreated. Amazingly the brave Diomedes and able to make the mighty Hector bleed, and even more amazingly, Paris, yes, that little wuss Paris was able to wound Diomedes somehow. Even the cunning Odysseus got injured in the ribs by Socus. After Hector returned to the battle from what would be a mere flesh wound to me, he begins another assault on the Greeks. Panic soon comes to the Greeks when our healer, Machaon, gets wounded by Paris. Where was this side of that puss a few days ago? I couldn't help but notice but Machaon going by on his chariot, so I sent Patroclus to find out his status. Apparently, Nestor begged to Patroclus for my return to the lines, or if Patroclus could in stead, in my armor. Surprisingly, Patroclus agreed, I can only hope that he knows what he is getting himself into.
If you had to pick what the first two books were about, clearly they are about me and the other Greek leaders begging for my return. And another part is also about the reconnaissance mission of Odysseus and Diomedes, but mostly about me. If you look back Agamemnon never apologizes in disgracing my honor. He thinks that gifts would fix what he had done. NO!! If Agamemnon came to me, saying he messed up, apologized for disgracing my honor, and even say that I am better than him, then I would probably rejoin the fight. But he didn't and so I stay on the sides lines, awaiting for the coming day me and my men return to Phthia. Book 11 of our story shows major instances of divine intervention. The most significant was the manipulation of Zeus. He showered the Greeks with fear which aided the Trojans for a time. The only thing that could truly inspire my fellow Greeks would be by Patroclus fighting in my stead, and in my armor. May the Gods have mercy on my good friend Patroclus. I couldn't fathom what would happen if something happened to my close companion.

The Great Battle Rages On
It is I, the great Achilles. Once again I am not engaging in the fight. So I am here, watching from afar, with my fellow Myrmidons and Patroklus. From what we can see, our fellow comrades are overwhelming the Trojan forces. I could see Menelaus trying to offer a ransom for the Trojan Adrestus, however, the swine Agamemnon, convinced the Spartan king to just kill him instead. Since the battle was going in their favor, Nestor urged the men to not strip away the arms of the dead. I don't understand why, if it were me, I would have let my men take whatever treasure they could carry. From what I heard of the Trojan side, Hector fled from the battle to to see his brother Paris followed by his wife, Andromache. Apparently, both Hector and Helen gave Paris a good nagging, and because of that, Paris rejoined the battle. About time too. Soon Hector met with his wife, and she tried to convince him to stop fighting, but he couldn't escape his fate. Perhaps our fates shall collide in our future. But we shall see. As soon as the Princes of Troy rejoined the battle, the Gods interfered. Of course they would. From what my mother told me, it was both Athena and Apollo who decided to end the battle for the day. However to finish the day properly, they came up with the idea of a duel. It ended up being between Hector and the mighty Ajax. The duel raged on for quite some time. Ajax was able to make the brave prince bleed. Eventually, the heralds of Zeus ended the duel due to nightfall. The two heroes exchanged pacts of friendship along with gifts after the duel. When the duel was all over, my mother Thetis, said fare well, and went on her way back to Olympus. After the Battle was over, both sides ended the day in burning their dead. And along with that the Greeks ended up building fortifications around their camp, however, both Zeus and Poseidon had different plans for the fortifications. Late during the night, Zeus demanded that no other God can interfere in the war. At one point, Zeus traveled to Mount Ida to measure out the fate of the two forces. Turns out that my fellow Greeks' fate isn't so good compared to that of Troy. From this moment on, my fellow country men didn't look so good. They were retreating from the Trojans in another battle, and Hector pushed them back all the way to our fortifications. So I am told Hector wishes to burn the ships. He better not burn mine. Apparently desperate, Agamemnon prays to Zeus for relief, and he gets the sign he was looking for. That little encouragement got the men to fight back. Meanwhile, both Athena and Hera are desperate to help the Achaeans, but Zeus has the Goddess Iris send them a warning, and they do nothing. Zeus acknowledged that only I can prevent the destruction from my fellow Greeks. What does Zeus expect me to do, I'm not fighting for Agamemnon. Well....thats all for now.
When looking back at the first story I discussed, one major thing came to mind, and that was the situation with Hector. When his wife was begging him not to go back into the fight, he mentions that it is his fate. What I know from fate, and I willing to bet that Hector knows this as well, and that's fate is inescapable. No matter how hard we try to abandon it, it is always there. He feels the obligation to keep fighting and obtain his own glory. As I have noticed in the books of 7 and 8, the Trojans want nothing more than to defeat the Greeks, and to prove this, they camp outside of the Greek fortifications. With my fellow Greeks demoralized, it would seem like their doom is approaching fast, and like Zeus said, apparently I can save them from the pending destruction. When seeing both Hector and Ajax, exchanging gifts and friendship, it shows us the values that are placed on both respect and dignity. When the burning of the dead came up, it showed great respect for our fallen brethren. With the dead burned, their souls can be properly released, and they can finally enter the Underworld. There are only a few things in this world I respect doing, and one of those things is the burning of the dead.

The War Without Me
Since I decided I no longer wish to fight for that pathetic King. I have a lot of free time on my hands. So, I figured that my Myrmidons, Patroklus, and myself will watch the oncoming battle from afar. I give credit to that prince Paris for wanting to fight in single combat to end the war, and for the rights of Helen. But let's be real here, he should've known that he would be fighting against Menelaus. Of course like the little brat he is, he wussied out. Believe me, if I was Hector, I would've called Paris a coward too. At least Paris grew a pair (kind of) and stepped up to face Menelaus. The battle determined the fate of the war and who would have Helen. Even from where I was, I could tell that the men were eager to the end of the war. Word has it that the God Iris was disguised as Hector's sister Laodice and told Helen to go to the walls to witness the duel. Helen then arrived at the walls and noticed Priam ogling the muscling armed Achaeans. That's what I was told. Priam soon left the wall and soon after the duel began. The duel was rather stalemated until Menelaus whacked his sword over Paris's helmet. It was around this moment that the Goddess Aphrodite had the nerve to intervene in the fight. Menelaus almost ended Paris there, but no, Aphrodite had to interfere once again, and she took Paris away from the battlefield and into his bed with Helen. Rumor has it they were doing the naughty. You know...bow chicka wow wow. In the end Agamemnon declared Menelaus the victor and demanded Helen. During the search for Paris, my mother, Thetis, came down from Olympus to tell me off all the juicy gossip. Apparently the Gods were having some duels of their own. Zeus wanted the war to end because Menelaus had won the duel, but Hera wanted the war to continue so that the Trojans could be utterly destroyed. So being the nice daddy that he is, Zeus sends down Athena to resume the battle. She got a Trojan archer by the name of Panderus to shoot arrows at Menelaus, but they did nothing but give Menelaus mere flesh wounds. Soon that pig Agamemnon rallied the troops and then the battle broke out. No one major died (dam you Agamemnon, you should've died), however, the cunning Odysseus and the great Ajax, killed many Trojans. Next thing we all know, Apollo is fighting for the Trojans and Athena is fighting for the Achaeans. Just think, me, Achilles, could've been fighting alongside Gods, but no stupid Agamemnon had to steal my girl. What a battle that was raging on. Panderus wounded the Greek hero Diomedes. However, after praying to Athena, Diomedes was blessed with super strength and astonishing powers. However Athena told Diomedes to not attack any of the Gods that come down except for Aphrodite. Next thing I would Diomedes was fighting....well....like me. He was striking people down left and right, including Panderus. Even the son of Aphrodite, Aeneas, was wounded by Diomedes. Aphrodite tried to heal Aeneas, but Diomedes wounded her too. Then all of a sudden, she was flung back up to Olympus. I snickered a little. Then all of a sudden, Diomedes makes the dumb mistake of attacking Apollo, when trying to aid Aeneas. Apollo smacked Diomedes away then took Aeneas away from the battle field. Afterwords, Apollo sends Ares, the God of War down to fight on the side of the Trojans. With Ares' aid the Trojans soon got the upper hand.. With Hector and Ares side by side, they looked like an unstoppable force. My mother informed me that both Hera and Athena went to Zeus, and begged him to send aid to the Greeks. Being the sucker that he is. Zeus lets Hera rally the Achaeans, and Athena fights alongside Diomedes. Even though I am not in the fight, what a great battle this is.
When looking back at our story, it is clear that that these three books show what is to come from the rest of this war. Almost every Greek and including my Myrmidons thought that this war was going to end with this duel between Menelaus and Paris. But of course that wasn't the case since the Gods always have alterior motives. With Aphrodite interfering in the duel and taking that pretty boy of a prince away from the fight, that was the moment when this war was gonna get a lot more interesting. Well at least through my perspective, because I can watch the fight and drink with my companions instead of fighting for that fool Agamemnon. But I know a lot of the men would want nothing more than to just go home. This is no longer a war of us mere mortals, now the Gods are coming down and joining in on the fights. I look forward to the coming days and what else the Gods have in store.

My Departing
Finally after nine years of this war, I have finally obtained a worthy spoil of war. After we sacked one of towns allied with Troy, I, Achilles, was able to claim the lovely Briseis as my prize. And yes that oaf of a king Agamemnon claimed a female prize in Chryseis. However she should have never of claimed her. If he just gave her back to her father Chryses and accepted his ransom, we would have never of faced Apollos wrath. But no, he just had to ignore the priest of Apollos warning, and because of HIM, Apollo plagued our camp. I knew Agamemnon was the reason behind the plague, I'm just glad our seer, Calchas, confirmed my suspicion at our assembly. I can't believe Agamemnon had to test my wraith after he had Odysseus return Chryseis to her father, which fortunately ended the plague. The SACK OF WINE had to take my girl away from me in order to replace his. I wanted nothing more than to end that poor excuse of a King's life, but lucky for him, Athena came to me and prevented me from doing so. So, HE ended up taking my Briseis, but in return I swore that neither me, nor my Myrmidons would ever fight alongside Agamemnon again. I can only hope that my mother Thetis will answer my prayers in asking Zeus to punish the Achaeans for what Agamemnon has done. To my surprise, my prayers were answered. From what I was told by Patroklus, Zeus sent Agamemnon a false dream by Nestor saying to him that he can take the city on a full scale assault on the walls. Apparently that SWINE wanted to test the men by saying that we were going home. Well clearly that backfired on him since a lot of the men were heading to the ships. Even I could tell that the morale of the army was weak. If it wasn't for the cunning words of Odysseus, the men would have never of stayed. Nestor suggested something clever but rather obvious. The men were to be arranged by their city so they could fight alongside their friends and family. If only Agamemnon knew that his dream was a lie. Little did he know that the Trojans were already prepared and waiting for the Greeks arrival.
Clearly throughout this rambling, the first book is about my wrath, particular to Agamemnon, *cough* PIG. Yes this story is about this very long war, however, it's mostly about me. The Gods played a big part in our story. They damned us with their punishments, however they also guided us in not doing certain things. Like denying me the pleasure ending that FOOLS life. However, the Gods do know best and I can not question them. If Agamemnon didn't test my honor, I wouldn't have stopped fighting and I wouldn't of asked my mother to ask Zeus to curse my fellow countrymen. The second portion of our story, didn't have me in it because I didn't want partake in anything at the moment, except for being with Patroklus. However it did deal with Odysseus and Nestor, both who can use their words very wisely. If it wasn't for these two, the men wouldn't have stayed to continue the fighting. They may be mere soldiers, but they know how bad the situation is. As long as they can fight side by side with their fellow citymates, then they have something worth fighting for and something to protect, instead of just trying to rescue Helen. It is men like Odysseus and Nestor that our men truely need to keep the spirits alive.
'You wine sack, with a dog's eyes, with a deer's heart. Never
once have you taken courage in your heart to arm with your people
for battle, or go into ambuscade with the best of the Achaians.
No, for in such things you see death. Far better to your mind
is it, all along the widespread host of the Achaians
to take away the gifts of any man who speaks up against you.
King who feed on your people, since you rule nonentities;
otherwise, son of Atreus, this were your last outrage.'

I am the swift-footed Achilles. I am the son of Peleus, king of the Myrmidons, and my mother is the immortal Goddess of the sea, Thetis. My whole life has been nothing but warfare. I crave it. I am considered to be a demi-god because of how I fight. Some even say that I can't be killed. No one can match my skills in combat. I fight for glory and to be remembered throughout the histories. When I arrive on the shores of Troy, all Trojans will fear my wrath. The only few I fight for are my fellow Myrmidons, and no one else, especially that pig of a king Agamemnon. I don't believe in prophecies, I forge my own destiny in the world, and no God will ever change that.
